Third Thursday: Compost Tea

Alexa Kipper from Organic Matters Consulting and the Mawby team will share their collaborative work on restoring soil health through regenerative practices, including compost teas and fungal-dominant inoculants such as Indigenous Microorganisms (IMO).

Drawing on her biological soil assessments, Alexa will show how data can guide management decisions and ground a holistic approach to fertility — integrating the soil health trinity of biology, physics (structure), and chemistry (mineral balance).

The team will walk through how and why these living amendments are made, share results from their vineyard trials, and explore how these practices can be scaled to support long-term vine health and ecosystem balance.
